Dear friends
By the time you are reading this, we will have begun the season of Advent – a journey of hope – of waiting – of anticipation. But for what?
The obvious answer is ‘Christmas’, and I can’t argue with that!
During Advent I want to invite you to ask the question, ‘Who is this man? And what has He come to do?’
I don’t really mean from a deep, theological, intellectual perspective….but who is this man to you? What has He done for you?
I have recently been watching a series on Amazon Prime, called ‘The Chosen’, which brings to life not just the story and accounts of Jesus – but the encounters people had with Him, that gave them a whole different perspective on life – on who they were. He turned lives upside down and gave meaning and hope and purpose that wasn’t there before. The unworthiest were chosen and given worth and a new start.
It struck me that without such encounters with Jesus, our lives – our belief - our worship – our plans, are just empty. Meaningless.
Jesus - The Messiah has come to town. Have you seen Him yet? Have you met Him? Who is He? And what has He come to do for you?
Praying for you during this time of anticipation, hope and promise
.
God bless,
Adrian
