Dear Beloved Friends,
I have been made aware that the summer months tend to be quieter in terms of ministerial activities. While this is true to some extent, with no major festivals between Pentecost and Harvest and a lull in meetings, I find myself struggling to find time to accomplish everything I desire due to unexpected occurrences.
One aspect of summer that I cherish is the opportunity to reflect, read, and spend quality time with my family. This summer holds a special significance as my parents are visiting from India, and we will have the pleasure of introducing them to our favorite town in the whole wide world, 'Colne'.
As I near the end of my five years of ministry as a Lay Pastor, I aim to evaluate my ministry with you and plan for the future. In the upcoming year, my focus will be on strengthening our ties with the local community and enhancing our service to meet its needs. I am eager to collaborate with Revd. Adrian to better serve all of you. This involves contributing more to the Exchange project, exploring the potential of our premises, and brainstorming ways to attract more individuals to join our worshipping congregation. Please share your thoughts on the church and our community connections.
If you are taking a break from work, going on vacation, or just simply enjoying our beautiful British summer from the comfort of your own home, I hope it provides you with the space to reflect on your life and faith. I often view time off as recreation, which can be interpreted as re-creation – a chance to start anew. May you return from your break rejuvenated, refreshed, and prepared for action!
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
May God bless you. Enjoy a wonderful summer.
Warm regards,
Christvin.
